COVID-19: Differently-abled protest demanding ₹5000 relief

Coimbatore: Differently-abled protested demanding ₹5000 as relief due to COVID-19. It was announced that the government would provide free meals at the Amma Unavagam, but the disadvantaged villagers in the rural areas have not benefited from that scheme.

Coimbatore: Differently-abled protested demanding ₹5000 as relief due to COVID-19. It was announced that the government would provide free meals at the Amma Unavagam, but the disadvantaged villagers in the rural areas have not benefited from that scheme.



A protest was staged in front of the Coimbatore District Selakampatti Panchayat Office demanding that the Government of Tamil Nadu to pay this relief amount to them for their livelihood.

Similarly in the protest that was held in front of the Udumalpet Taluk office they accused that the government of Tamil Nadu refused to provide 100% disability certificate to the disabled people and failed to provide them with work ing the 100-day employment scheme.
