TN Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy inaugurated equipment worth Rs.89.75 crores at the various Government Hospitals at Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Perundurai, Perambalur and Kancheepuram through video conferencing.
As part of this, the Zonal Cancer Centre at the Coimbatore Government Hospital was equipped with Linear Accelerator equipment worth Rs.25 crores for cancer treatment.
Dean of Coimbatore Government Hospital Kalidas and other doctors were present at the event.
