Coimbatore: With over 116 cases from Selvapuram, Raja Street and adjoining areas testing positive for COVID-19, the District Administration has ramped up its containment measures and has isolated and sealed most of the areas associated with gold workshops.
Coimbatore: With over 116 cases from Selvapuram, Raja Street and adjoining areas testing positive for COVID-19, the District Administration has ramped up its containment measures and has isolated and sealed most of the areas associated with gold workshops.
The various areas that have been isolated and sealed include the Petha Gounder street, Vysial street, Big Bazar street, Karuppa Gounder street, Sullivan Street and Ramakrishnapuram. Most of the streets have been barricaded and cordoned off.
The public in these areas are not being permitted to step out and outsiders are not permitted as well.
Similarly in Sundaram street, areas in Poomarket area and Kempatti colony also have been closed down and secured with tin sheets.
