Coimbatore: Chandrans Yuva Foundation has joined hands with Vellalore 105 RAF to plant 20,000 saplings. The initiative was launched today with planting of 550 saplings at Vellaloor 105 RAF Campus. The event was conducted with maintenance of COVID norms such as hand sanitizing and social distancing.

With the growing crisis of air pollution, planting trees and rearing them to maturity calls for a challenging responsibility. The Chandrans Yuva foundation members said 105 RAF campus has provided a separate wing d grow the saplings with utmost care.
Chandrans Yuva Foundation's Go Green Ambassador Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Commandant Jayakrishnan and Vidya Jayakrishnan planted the saplings. Second-In- Command S. K. Dubey, Deputy Commandant G. Dinesh, Founder & Managing Trusteeof Chandrans Yuva Foundation Sivanesan, Chairperson & CEO of Chandrans Yuva Shashikala, Director of Chandrans Yuva Ponnusamy were present for the event.
The Rotary Club of Aakurthi also joined hands with Chandrans Yuva to support this event.
Last year, this NGO planted 1.5 lakhsof saplings in the river bed of Noyyal in association with SSVM Institutions under Miyawaki method. This initiative motivates all individual citizens to contribute in growing 'A TREE A PERSON' as their social responsibility.
