Coimbatore: NTK staged protests at Valparai demanding action against the judge, doctor and the prison officials in the Sathankulam murder case.
Protests regarding the Sathankulam custodial double murders were held in Valparai on behalf of the NTK, Veera Thamizhar Munnani and the Trade Unions in front of the Valparai Municipal Office under the leadership of the NTK District in-charge Matthew.
Silent tribute was paid to the deceased, Jayaraj and Fenix, prior to the protest and a pledge was taken. The protestors raised slogans demanding action against the judge, doctor and the prison officials.
District in-charge Matthew, Venkatesh Ravichandran, Trade Union Secretary Ravindran, Prabhakaran, Tamilvaanan, Rajendran and more than 30 other executives and cadres took part in the protest.
Security for the protest was provided by the police under the guidance of Sub Inspector Sathishkumar and Uthayasuriyan.
