Reports inform that the 70-year-old businessman committed suicide unable to digest the fact that he turned positive for the virus.
He was found hanging in the room of a private hospital where he had been undergoing treatment for the last two days. It may be noted that his son-in-law also tested positive and is under treatment.
His mortal remains have been taken for autopsy.
Several people took to social media to express their condolences to the man who garnered worldwide appreciation and fans for the halwa made at his shop. "The bitter end of a man who served sweets," read many social media posts.
