The High Court gave a verdict in the Udumalpet Shankar murder case yesterday and acquitted the prime accused Chinnasamy, father of Kausalya, along with Manikandan and Dhanraj. The charges against Chinnasamy could not be proved and so the High Court ordered for his release.
All the documentation for the release of the three men were provided by the Chennai High Court to the Coimbatore Central Prison Administration. Following this, the three who were lodged at the were released this evening.
The Mukkulathor Association executives who waited for them outside the Coimbatore Central prison welcomed them warmly and adorned them with shawls. Following this, they were safely taken to Palani.
