Coimbatore Poo Market shifted
Coimbatore: The flower merchants who were reluctant to shift from the crowded shops at Poo Market have finally agreed to do so after negotiations with the authorities.

They will move to their new venue at Devanga School.
Corporation officials were seen making all arrangements at the school premises today.
The entrance will be from the Krishnaswamy Road.
Ample parking space has been arranged in the school grounds. The makeshift market school will work from 6 AM to 4 PM from tomorrow. It is mandatory for customers to wear face masks and maintain social distancing.
Earlier, the merchants and public alike did not follow the requisite norms at Poo Market which led to overcrowding. The market brimmed with so many customers without social distancing and that led to sealing of the area by the corporation authorities. The residents in the areas will heave a sigh of relief due to this measure now.
