NIS, Chennai claims it can cure COVID-19 in three days
Chennai: The National Institute of Siddha in Chennai has claimed that it can cure COVID-19 in three days and have requested the TN government to hand over the COVID-19 care centres in the city.
Functioning under the Union Ayush Ministry,, NIS claims to have cured 160 positive cases in the metro so far. The institute is confident about flattening the curve in Chennai and converting it to a safe zone in a few days.
A top official said, NIS has requested the state government to hand over COVID-19 care centres for Siddha doctors to commence treatment. He said the pilot study reveals that with combination of three medicines and through traditional treatment COVID-19 can be prevented and cured.
"Depending upon the availability and quantity required for treating Coronavirus positive patients, we have after thorough research, come out with three different effective combinations of the Siddha preparations," Dr R Meenakumari, Director, NIS, told . She also added that treatment costs are very low and the medicines are immediately available.
She said they have requested the government to hand over all the COVID-19 Care Centres at RGGGH, Stanley GH, KMC, Omandurar GH besides those in the Chennai Corporation limits and claimed that they can treat positive patients and cure them in three days with their potent drug combination.
