Coimbatore: A student took her life after being chided by her father. Sethu Narayanan belongs to NG Ramaswamy Road, Pappanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. His daughter Kanishka (16) had been studying 9th grade at the Manis School.
Coimbatore: A student took her life after being chided by her father. Sethu Narayanan belongs to NG Ramaswamy Road, Pappanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. His daughter Kanishka (16) had been studying 9th grade at the Manis School.
Students were sent 10th grade lessons via a WhatsApp Group to which Kanishka paid no heed. Allegedly, she was found watching TV most of the day rather than studying. Irked by her behaviour, parents chided her and advised her to concentrate on her studies.
This caused Kanishka to hang herself to death. Following a complaint lodged by Kanishka's father Sethunarayanan, the Race Course Road police registered a case and sent the body for autopsy.
The news of the schoolgirl killing herself has a great deal of sorrow amid her relatives and neighbours.
