COVID-19: Four people with travel history to Chennai tested positive in Tirupur
Tirupur: The total COVID positive cases in Tirupur increased to 123, after four people were tested positive, on Sunday. Notably, all four people had recently travelled to Chennai.
Tirupur District Collector K Vijayakarthikeyan on Sunday, apprised that all contacts relating to the four patients -- two from Tirupur, one from Kangeyam and one from Palladam, have been traced and quarantined. Samples of the contacts have been obtained for PCR testing.
As of Sunday, 1737 people are under quarantine and newly 394 people have been added to the quarantine list. And, 122 people have successfully completed their 14 day quarantine period, informed the Collector.
