A 30-year-old male from Andipalayam with travel history to Chennai was tested positive and a 22-year-old male residing in Mangalam, and a resident of Dindigul tested positive.
"Contact tracing carried out and samples are being collected from the contacts. Out of 4 cases notified yesterday, 3 cases have been cross notified to respective districts. Of those 3 are out of Tiruppur list", noted the District Collector, K Vijayakarthikeyan.
He informed that the total cases in Tirupur district as of Friday is 119 (117+2 new cases).
The District Collector apprised that as of today, there are 4 active case in Tirupur district and all patients are reported stable. The total number of people in house quarantine is 1464, people added newly today is 171. And, 110 people have successfully completed their 14 day quarantine period.
