Coimbatore: The sudden surge in COVID cases in Coimbatore has been largely attributed to the arrival of people through air, train and roadways from hotspots like Chennai, New Delhi and Maharastra.
Today, 14 passengers of a flight from New Delhi to Coimbatore flight which landed on June 17, have been tested positive for COVID. The tests results which arrived today has confirmed that 14 passengers of the flight are positive for COVID.
As all the passengers belong to different districts they have been sent for treatment to the respective districts, and will be added to the list of those districts, confirmed health officials.
While people are advised to be cautious and adhere to all COVID norms while venturing out, the news of more people from hotspots testing positive has left the people restless, here.
