Police stations in Coimbatore receive petitions outside the premises to prevent spread of COVID
Coimbatore: Public petitions are being received outside the premises of the 15 police stations in Coimbatore district as a precautionary measure for coronavirus infection.
Following the spread of COVID in Podanur and Kuniyamuthur, all the police stations asked the public to wear masks before entering and sanitisers were also placed.
Due to the increase in the number of cases in the past few days, tents have been set up in front of the police station to receive complaints. Only the most important petitions are allowed to be made inside the premises.
