A woman returning to Tirupur along with her family via Coimbatore in a special flight today has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Tirupur: According to reports, a woman who recently arrived to Tirupur along with her family via Coimbatore in a flight has been tested positive for Coronavirus. Following this, barricades have been placed in the area where she resides.
A 30-year-old woman who returned to her home in Muthunagar Second Street, Tirupur has turned COVID positive. Couple.of days back, she had returned from Chennai along with her family in a flight, via Coimbatore. After being tested for the virus, the trio were advised to stay isolated at home.
Today, the test results of the woman confirmed that she has been infected with COVID, while her remaining family members results turned negative.
Tirupur Health Department officials have taken the woman to ESI hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment.

The area where the family stays has been disinfected. The residents winder if the area will be declared as a containment zone.
The Health Department said that the husband and the child have tested negative on initial diagnostics and will be tested again to ascertain they are COVID free.
