Man arrested under Goondas act in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A man has been arrested under Goondas act. Senthil, who was involved in criminal activities continuously in Maniyakarampalayam, Coimbatore, was arrested and jailed.
Senthil hails from Panchagam nagar in Chinnavedampatti . He threatened and extorted Rs.1000 from a petty shop owner in Maniyakarampalayam following which he was booked under four sections by the Saravanampatti police.
He has been charged with four cases for murder, two attempted murder cases and a theft. As he posed a threat to the law and order in the city, on the recommendation of the Police Commissioner, he was arrested and jailed under the Goondas Act.
A copy of Senthil 's warrant for his arrest under Goondas Act was handed over to the jail authorities.
