Tirupur: Members of Lawyers Forum for Social Justice have requested Tirupur DYSP to head investigation of caste-based violence.

They have filed a complaint with the Tirupur district police superintendent demanding an inquiry headed by the deputy superintendent of police in the case of a complaint lodged under the Prevention of Trafficking Act.
Loganathan from Devampalayam in Tirupur was forced to apologise with his family to other caste members as his goat trespassed into their fields. Refusing to do so, Loganathan filed a case against them for caste based violence.
Avinashi police did not take any action and instead filed a case against Loganathan and arrested him. A request has been made to the Tirupur district police superintendent today on behalf of the Lawyers Forum for Social Justice. The members of the forum have requested Tirupur DYSP to head investigation of this caste-based violence, stating that it is an illegal act and proper action should be taken in this regard.
