Drivers and travellers spotted a lone elephant on the Valparai Pollachi mountain road near the Attakatti main road and turned around. They informed the Forest department regarding this.
Subsequently, the Forest Department workers who reached there struggled for around an hour before they could turn the elephant back into the forest. However, the Forest department has cautioned travellers on the route to be careful as the lone tusker could emerge on the roads again anytime.
