COVID-19: Two new cases in Coimbatore, one in Tirupur, none in Nilgiris: TN Tally hurtles down a bit to 1515
Chennai: Chennai lived another day of high as 919 out of the 1515 positives were registered at the state capital, today. Meanwhile, a total of 1515 cases from various districts in the State has been recorded for the day.
With 49 deaths today (14 private, 35 govt), the COVID toll has risen to 528. It is to be noted that this is the highest single-day tally of COVID deaths, so far.
As per the State health bulletin, two new cases have been reported today in Coimbatore bringing the district tally to 183. While Tirupur registered one positive, the Nilgiris district had none.
On the brighter side, 1438 patients have been discharged across the state post recovery. The total of patients who have been treated successfully and discharged stands at 26782.
