Coimbatore: The recent increase in COVID cases in Coimbatore district has set the alarm bells ringing as 11 new cases have been admitted at the ESI hospital here, on Tuesday, too.
Patient details are as follows:
1. A 17-year-old female from Namakkal who flew from Delhi to Coimbatore on June 15.
2. A 51-year-old male from Vellakinar area in Coimbatore tested positive today. He was travelling from Chennai to Coimbatore and was intercepted at Karumathampatti Checkpost for COVID screening.
3. A 33-year-old male from Negamam was subjected to COVID screening at Karumathampatti Checkpost while he was returning from Chennai to Coimbatore.
4. A 40-year-old male from Karumathampatti who had travelled from Coimbatore to Villupuram tested positive.
5.A 61-year-old female from Karamadai tested positive. She reportedly has a travel history to Karur.
6. A 38-year-old male from Thudiyalur male tested positive at ESI OPD. He reportedly has a travel history to Trichy.
7.A 38-year-old male from Ramanathapuram with travel history to Chennai tested positive at ESI OPD.
8. A 48-year-old female from Ramanathapuram has tested positive at CMCH.
9. A 50-year-old female from Ooty has tested positive at CMCH.
10. A 12-year-old male child tested positive at Chinniyampalayam.
11. A 5-year-old male child tested positive at Chinniyampalayam.
All the 11 have been admitted at the ESI hospital for further treatment.
