Two employees of the Public Relations Department at the Coimbatore District Collectorate have been arrested and imprisoned for forgery and financial fraud.

Prabhu of the Vadamadurai area works as the upgraded superintendent at the Public Relations Office of the District Collectorate and Suresh works as the driver to the PRO from Ramanathapuram . Suresh and Prabhu defrauded lakhs of rupees from many people under the pretext of helping them obtain a government job.
With access to the many people who visit the District Collectorate each day, they gave false hope and promised to get them government jobs. They took money from the victims and forged appointment orders, complained the affected people. Based on their complaints, investigations were conducted and criminal proceedings were undertaken on the duo.
During investigations, it was revealed that they had swindled many people into parting with lakhs of rupees. Following this, under the orders of the City Police Commissioner Sumit Saran, the Central Crime Branch police arrested them both and imprisoned them.
A notice was issued to the public with the advice, "The public are requested to not believe anybody who assures of getting you a government job without proper notice or a proper qualifying exam, just by paying money. Many complaints have been received from victims who have given money to these fraudsters. The public are therefore requested not to believe the words of anybody in this regard and end up losing their money."
