Dravidar Tamilar Katchi protests in Coimbatore against online classes
Coimbatore: Dravidar Tamilar Katchi protested against online classes in front of Coimbatore South Taluk office. Schools have been closed due to the pandemic and several schools are conducting online classes and demanding for fees to be paid immediately.
The protest led by Dravidar Tamilar Katchi Thondamuthur Secretary Nandhan Thambi demanded revoking of online classes and raised slogans.
They insisted on the implementation of Right to Education Act 2020-21 which mandates enrolling 25% of economically backward students in schools. The Dravida Tamilar Katchi Leader also said that the online classes were posing a lot of difficulties for the children and hence should be suspended immediately.
