The COVID-19 lockdown has led to the closure of temples and repeated requests to reopen them have been raised by various associations. These associations have also demonstrated in many novel ways.
A few days ago the Hindu Munnani cadres stood on single legs requesting for permission to reopen temples.
On those lines, the Sakthi Sena association members demonstrated by lighting lamps in front of the Koniamman temple.
The demonstration was led by the Sakthi Sena Association District President Kalidas. The participants also raised slogans demanding permission from the TN government to reopen temples for worship.
