Protest held in Tirupur demanding strict action against untouchability
Tirupur: Sathi Ozhippu Koottiyakkam protested in Tirupur demanding action against the increasing untouchability crimes in the city.
They demanded action against the people who forced Lohanathan, a Dalit living in Devampalayam area, belonging to Avinasi Palankarai panchayat, Tiruppur district to fall at their feet and apologize.
Sathi Ozhippu Koottiyakkam protested in front of Tirupur Kumaran statue and demanded the release of Loganathan, who has been jailed on false accusations.
They also demanded a burial ground for the people of Muthathandipalayampatti, action against the municipality commisssioner who threw out food from dalit houses in Vellakoil, Tirupur, and against all who indulge in untouchability.
