15 people with travel history from Chennai tested positive for COVID in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Recently, the increase in COVID cases in Coimbatore district due to inflow of air and road passengers from Chennai and other States has left the people here in panic. Adding to the existing list, 15 people more with travel history to Chennai and Muscat have been tested positive, today.
This includes a young woman who boarded a flight from Muscat to Coimbatore. And, five people who came to Coimbatore from Chennai through road have confirmed to have conntracted coronavirus infection. According to reports, they were stopped at Karumathampatti checkpost here and samples of were taken for testing.
The remaining six people are those who arrived to Coimbatore through the June 12 Arakonnam to Coimbatore train.
All the affected people have been sent to ESI and Private hospitals for treatment.
