The PMK State Deputy Secretary PMK AshokSrinithi said, "at critical times like these it is important to create a source of income for the people. Hence they have been provided with commercial wet grinder machines and tailoring machines for free to create an income for themselves."
"It is said, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." A permanent solution to a problem is better than a temporary solution. Hence we have opted to provide them with a source of income, for free by providing them with commercial wet grinders and tailoring machines. The commercial wet grinders can be used for making idli and dosa batter which can be sold commercially," he opined.
He further added, "It is for the same reason that we provided goats during the Gaja cyclone. If we are elected into power we will do things along the same line and provide people with sources of income for free."
