The spread of COVID-19 led to a nationwide lockdown. With relaxations being announced for the lockdown, Government Offices have begun functioning again. To facilitate the maintenance of sanitation at these offices, second Saturdays at all government offices have been declared holidays, informed the Chief Secretary Shanmugam.
Accordingly, cleaning work is being carried out at government offices, today. Corporation workers are involved in the sanitation work being held at the District Collectorate.
All the rooms of the Collectorate were cleaned first followed by the spraying of disinfectants.
All the doors, windows and furniture were sprayed with disinfectants. More than 10 Corporation sanitation carried the work out.
