The couple Selvam and Selvarani from Kadalur work at a knitting factory in Tirupur. Selvarani gave birth to twin boys, eight months, ago at Coimbatore GH. They visited the Coimbatore GH yesterday to collect the birth certificates of their children.
A 25-year-old woman at the hospital offered to help them get the birth certificate and took one of the children from Selvarani stating that the child needed to be weighed. Selvarani and Selvam waited for the woman to return for a long time. Sensing something was amiss after the woman did not bring the child back after a long time, they went to the Police Center in the hospital and voiced their concern.
The Race Course Police Inspector Sakthivel and Sub Inspector Rajinikanth arrived at the scene. Perusing the CCTV footage in the hospital and inquiring the people around, the cops have begun investigating the issue.
The incident caused a stir in the area and has shocked the public.
