CITU submits petition on behalf of women's self-groups against finance companies
Tirupur: On behalf of the women's self-help group in Tirupur, the CITU today filed a petition with the District Collector demanding action against finance companies that compel self-help groups to pay instalments of the loans availed by them.
Women's self-help groups from various areas including Periyar Colony and Anuparpalayam of Tirupur Corporation allege that the finance companies harass them to pay their loan dues.
The affected women said the microfinance companies are demanding money in spite of RBI's COVID-19 SOPs and also levy fines for non-payment. Hence, the CITU on behalf of the self-help women's groups, submitted a petition to the District Collector demanding action against such microfinance companies.
