Tirupur: A 21-year-old man was arrested and imprisoned for sexually harassing a 14-year-old girl in Tirupur.
Ajith (21), a native of the Theni District is employed at a knitting factory on College Street in Tirupur. He also resides there. A 14-year-old girl studying in class 9 resides near his house with her parents.
Sweet talking the girl into accompanying him, he took her out and tried to sexually harass her. Following this, the girl reported the incident to her parents.
The girl's parents filed a complaint at the Tirupur North All Women Police station who police arrested Ajith for harassing the 14-year-old girl and imprisoned him under the POCSO Act after presenting him at the court.
