Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector K. Rajamani and the Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar conducted surprise inspections at various markets in Ukkadam. They advised the public and shopkeepers to maintain social distancing and to wear face masks.
They also conducted inspections at the Ramar Koil Market in Ukkadam and advised the public to wear face masks all the time.
Similarly, they visited the temporary markets at the Ukkadam Lorry Pettai area and they advised the shopkeepers and the customers to maintain social distancing.
Other Corporation Deputy Commissioners were in attendance.
