Coonoor MLA Shanti Ramu distributes relief item in Nilgiris
The Nilgiris: Thousands of people who rely on the tourism industry have lost their livelihoods as tourists from outstations and other states are not allowed in the Nilgiris district.
MLA Shanti Ramu, supplied a variety of essentials, including rice, lentils and vegetables for 1200 families at his own expense. Families of auto drivers, taxi drivers and vehicle owners benefited from the distribution.
The MLA who has supplied relief goods to 98,000 families in the past 50 days.
The event was attended by many of the party's executives and cadires.
