The MLA representing Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency, was critical and under ventilator support after testing positive for COVID-19.
DMK President M K Stalin, DMK MP S Jagathrakshagan and party's Youth Wing Chief Udayanadhi Stalin on Saturday visited Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre at Chromepet, Chennai to inquire about the health condition of party MLA J Anbazhagan.
It may be noted that the MLA had actively participated in his party's 'Ondrinaivom Campaign' aimed at providing relief to the needy during this pandemic time.
According to a bulletin issued by Rela Institute & Medical Centre, where he is being treated, said he has severe acute respiratory distress and his COVID-19 PCR test was positive at the time of admission.
Though initially, he was managed with oxygen therapy through facemask, later on he was put on ventilator support as his respiratory distress worsened.
