The Sutton Estate near Kolakombai is home to hundreds of bison. It is quite common for them to come onto the roadsides.
On Tuesday, a bison that had been wandering on the roads got its hind leg stuck in a plastic pipe. Suffering from intense discomfort and pain, the bison is not able to move freely. This has made grazing difficult causing the bison to lose weight.
The residents of the area who witnessed the plight of the bison have requested it be treated and freed by the forest department.
