A technician working at the Coimbatore Government was diagnosed with COVID-19 upon his return from Villupuram. Following this the physiotherapy ward has been closed down.
Coimbatore: A technician working at the Physiotherapy ward of the Coimbatore Government Hospital was diagnosed with COVID-19 upon his return from Villupuram. Following this the physiotherapy ward has been closed down.
The 27-year old technician had gone to visit his pregnant wife at Villupuram. Upon his return he was isolated for seven days, at home. When he returned for duty he undertook the test for COVID-19, which turned out to be positive.
The technician has now been admitted at the ESI hospital for treatment. The physiotherapy ward at the Government hospital where he worked, has been closed down. 14 of his contacts have also been tested and isolated.
A total of 29 people from various areas are now admitted at the Coimbatore ESI for treatment and 4,100 people have been isolated and are under supervision.
