More than 20 days ago, a leopard that entered the Governor's Bungalow at the Ooty Botanical Garden road was found to be severely injured. Following this, the Forest department rescued the leopard and treated it at the Ooty Government Veterinary Hospital for 20 days.
The leopard recovered well and was able to consume around 1 kilogram of meat. Following this, the forest department decided to send the leopard to the Vandalur Zoological Park.
A medical team deputed from Chennai for the purpose took the leopard to the zoo.
