Coimbatore: SFI petitions District Collector to monitor private schools that violate government's order by collecting school fees.
The SFI had complained earlier with proof that private schools all over Coimbatore are collecting fees violating the government's order. Following this the District Collector issued a stern warning via media to all the schools instructing them not to collect fees during the COVID-19 times for the previous year and the commencing year, failing which he warned of severe action against them.
However, many private schools in Coimbatore have been compelling parents to make full payments before June 8, 10 or 15,the SFI complained. Further, they requested that a team be formed under the leadership of the District Collector to inspect the private schools.
