Relatives urge police to investigate suspicious death of woman in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Relatives urged the police probe into the death of a woman here in the outskirts. Priya (25) is the daughter of Times Mary from Ariyandipuram, Sivagangai District.
Vinod (30), a daily wage worker from Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore fell in love with Priya and married her eight years ago with the consent of both the parents. The couple have an eight-year-old daughter
Priya hanged herself yesterday. Relatives are suspicious of Priya's death and urged that an appropriate investigation be conducted. Priya's relatives have said that Vinod is a drunkard and often threatened Priya to get money from her mother.
Just 10 days ago, Times Mary sent 10,000 rupees to her daughter. In this case, Vinod's brother got married yesterday and Priya was asked to give money for the event. She asked for money from her mother who refused saying that she had given Rs. 10,000 just ten days back.
Following this, Priya hanged herself and her body was sent Coimbatore the government hospital for autopsy. Relatives, who suspect that Priya did not commit suicide but was murdered demanded a probe into her death.
