Karthik (20) was working with the person who had taken the contract for changing the tin sheets on the roof of a tea factory near Chamraj, Ooty. He was a resident of the Thevar Solai area and son of Shanmugam and Susila.
While Karthik was involved in changing the tin sheets, heavy winds blew causing him to lose balance and come crashing down from the roof. This fall caused heavy head injury to which he succumbed on the spot.
The Kolakambai police are investigating the accident.
