Tirupur: The All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) staged a protest against micro finance company that has not been following RBI's lockdown norms and involved in the collection of loan dues from customers.
The COVID-19 lockdown which had affected the livelihood of many sections of the society caused the RBI to instruct banks and other finance companies to defer the collection of loan debts for six months.
Bypassing this order by the RBI, a micro finance company, which had provided loans to many self help groups in the Murugampalayam area in Tirupur allegedly demanded loan pdues from its customers. Further it is alleged that the company also demands fines from those who are unable to pay the dues.
The AIDWA protested at the Murugampalayam area condemning this action of the finance company.
