Inebriated man fatally falls into a sewage canal in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: An inebriated man slipped into sewage canal and died. Rathna Sikamani (53) hails from Harijan Colony, Narasimha Naickenpalayam, Coimbatore. He works as a cleaner in the area.
He drank heavily yesterday and was seriously injured after falling into the sewage canal in Gandhi Nagar, Puthupalayam. The man then managed to reach home but succumbed to his injuries there.
Following a complaint lodged by his wife Mariammal, the Periyanaickenpalayam police sent the body for autopsy. After the autopsy, Rathna Sikamani's body was handed over to relatives.
