Miscreants robbing wholesale tea dealer identified; police cast nets
Coimbatore: Police are intensely searching miscreants who threatened a wholesale tea powder dealer and stole cash and cheques.
Mahesh (42) from Coimbatore runs a tea powder wholesale shop in Sivananda Colony. On May 18, taking advantage of the curfew, four unidentified men entered Mahesh's shop.Threatening him and verbally abusing his wife, they stole cash of Rs. 6,49,300, four signed cheques, a cellphone, two SIM cards, an iron box and 35 kg tea powder packets.
Rathinapuri police have identified the perpetrators of the crime as for Arunprakash, Satish, Ilangovan and Kannan after an online complaint was lodged by Mahesh as he was quarantined in Ooty. The police have cast nets to nab the culprits.
