The Corporation wholesale vegetable market, which temporarily functions near the bus stand on Mettupalayam road, is set to be shifted to the lorry pettai area in Tatabad. The proposed area was inspected by the Corporation Commissioner today. The inspection was led by the Corporation Deputy Commissioner S. Prasanna Ramasamy.
They also inspected the encroachments that have been cleared in the Coimbatore Corporation West Zone Ward no.13, Jeeva Nagar. They discussed laying of roads and construction of underground sewerage systems in the area.
District Engineer A. Lakshmanan, West Zone Assistant Commissioner A.J. Senthil Arasan, Executive Engineer Saravana Kumar and other officials participated in the inspection.
