The Tirupur District Collector Vijayakarthikeyan has informed that the number of buses plying will be increased as per the demand and usage by the public.
Tirupur: The Tirupur District Collector Vijayakarthikeyan has informed that the number of buses plying will be increased as per the demand and use by the public.

The Tirupur District Collector who inspected the new Bus stand in Tirupur met the press. He informed that, "bus services commenced today all over TN, after the two month lockdown, as per the order of the State government. In the initial phase, 50%buses are permitted to be operated.As per this order, government buses have been put into operation from Tirupur to Erode, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Salem, Namakkal and Karur, as informed by the District Administration. Since morning 197 buses have been operated today."
Tirupur District Collector informed, "50 % buses with 30% people have been operated to various places within the Coimbatore Zone and this number will be increased as per the need of the people." He further said, "the District Administration is working towards maintaining the service to the people without any hinderance", and also said, "90 % of migrant workers have been transported back to their home states."
The Collector also said, "The District Administration has also been entrusted with the responsibility of making arrangements for the isolation of people arriving from Chennai and containment zones in other districts through train or road." Regarding the precautionary measures beingundertaken during the bus service he said, "passengers are being provided with hand sanitisers and buses are being disinfected frequently.
The Collector also inquired the patients as to temperature checks and provision of hand sanitisers before boarding.
