Jains around the world offer group prayer to quell coronavirus
Jains around the world today chanted the 99-crore navakara maha-mantra in many places including Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and Nilgiris districts.

Thousands of Jains sat in isolation at their homes with social distancing maintained and prayed to Lord Adinath to quell the coronavirus that is threatening the world.
More than 40 lakh Jains chanted mantras in a joint prayer at their homes for the pandemic to come to an end and world peace. The prayer lasted from 8.41 am to 12.41 am.
The prayer was held under the supervision and coordination of over 20,000 Jain sannyasin in India. The Jain community is looking forward to the 8th of June as their temples closed due to the lockdown are going to be reopened after two and a half months.
