Bharat Sena submits a petition to stop setting up dump yard in a cemetery in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The Bharat Sena has filed a petition with the District Collector protesting against setting up of a garbage dump in a cemetery at Kannappa Nagar in Sanganur here.

The Bharat Sena said in the cemetery that has been used by Hindus for many years, a shed for the purpose of waste segregation is being erected, which could increase pollution in area and can make people prone to infections during rainy seasons.

They said there are also private schools and spiritual sites near the area and if the dump yard is allowed here, the area will start reeking like Vellalore.

The Bharat Sena has appealed to the District Collector Coimbatore to immediately stop the work.
