Buses ply to Erode, Tirupur, Dharapuram, Karur and Salem from Coinbatore today
Coimbatore: Buses started plying to Erode, Tirupur, Dharapuram and Salem from Coimbatore today. The buses are operated out of Coimbatore Gandhipuram and Singanallur bus terminals.
Out of the 1019 buses in the Tamil Nadu state transport corporation in Coimbatore district, only 506 are in operation as of now. Local bus services are available from Gandhipuram, Singanallur and Ukkadam bus stands too.
The services to Madurai, Trichy, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and Tirunelveli areas have not resumed yet. As a result, the general public, who thronged the bus stations expecting transportation to these places, went back in disappointment.
