In one day, 4800 migrant workers leave Tirupur to home states
Tirupur: As part of the Mission "Back Home", 4800 migrant workers from Tirupur were ferried to their home towns, on Sunday.
Railway Board chairman Vinod Kumar Yadavon Sunday said that since May 01 more than 54 lakh migrant workers have been ferried by Shramik special trains. Around 80% of these trains run to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Prior to boarding, all passengers were subjected to thermal screening. Tirupur District Collector K Vijayakarthikeyan who inspected the boarding, advised the passengers to maintain social distancing, wear masks and hand washing.

Food and water were provided to all passengers. The migrant workers expressed joy and thanked the district administration and Government of India for arranging trains to send them back to their home towns.

Tirupur to Bapudham Motihari (Bihar)
Shramik Special train No. 06154 departed from Tiruppur to Bapudham Motihari (Bihar) at 21.00 hrs on May 31, carrying 1,600 passengers.

Tirupur to Malda (West Bengal)
Shramik Special train No. 06162 departed from Tiruppur to Malda Town (West Bengal) at 17.40 hrs on May 31,carrying 1,600 passengers.

Tirupur to Hajipur (Bihar)
Shramik Special train No.06152 departed from Tiruppur to Hajipur (Bihar) at 13.40 hrs on May 31, carrying 1,600 passengers.
