Chennai: C Easwaramurthy IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime branch has been promoted as Inspector General of Police (IG) of the State Intelligence Wing.
With KN Sathyamurthy, the present IG, set to retire from his service tomorrow, C Easwaramurthy IPS will assume charge as the new IG Intelligence.
It may be recalled that in a major rejig of IPS officers in May 2019, Internal Security IG C. Easwaramoorthy was upgraded to the post of Additional Commissioner, Central Crime Branch, Chennai.
