When the Tirupur migrant workers from Assam expressed interest to go back to their native states, they were asked to register online.Arrangements are being made for them to travel back to their native states. At 3 AM today, the workers were informed that a special train would leave for Assam today and were asked to come to the railway station, by the police.
When the workers arrived, the police said that no trains to Assam have been scheduled.

The disappointed workers left the place and reached the Palaniammal Corporation School at Arisi Kadai Veedhi where tokens were supposed to be distributed but were not.
